Hiking Boot Fitting Guide

Twin On Tour Posted on October 27, 2021 by kayleneOctober 27, 2021

When your footwear arrives, try it on as soon as possible. Be sure to wear the right socks. For the first try-on (especially with boots), take the time to remove the laces entirely and re-lace, making sure to snug the laces through each eyelet. When your boots are laced completely there should be no slack in the laces near the toe area. Be careful not to over-tighten! Once the shoes or boots are laced properly, take a short jaunt around your living room. (Don’t go outside yet!) Here are some things to keep in mind about fit: Evening is best … Continue reading →

Ruger 10/22 Review

Twin On Tour Posted on December 18, 2020 by kayleneDecember 18, 2020

The .22 caliber rifle is scoffed at by many gun enthusiasts as being too weak. The .22 caliber just doesn’t have the hit power that a 30.06 round has or even a 5.56 mm. Most people believe that you cannot hunt with the .22 caliber round, or that you cannot even use it for target practice because it lacks the recoil that heavier rounds have. However, do not be fooled into thinking like the amateur gun enthusiast’s brain. The .22 caliber rifle is a most formidable rifle in the hands of a marksman. Not only can the .22 take down … Continue reading →

Best Compression Socks

Twin On Tour Posted on December 5, 2020 by kayleneDecember 15, 2020

Compression socks are tighter than average socks. They help reduce swelling and symptoms of vein disease in their wearers. This is because of the compression of your feet and legs, and thus the veins in your feet and legs, blood can more easily fight gravity and flow back up to your heart instead of pooling in your extremities, causing swelling or in extreme cases, blood clots. Pregnant women, people who work on their feet all day, avid runners, and anyone suffering an injury or afflictions like varicose veins rely on compression socks for comfort and safety. Additionally, people traveling by … Continue reading →

Furthermore, they are typically equipped with batteries that can be replaced with disposable batteries if recharging is not possible. In comparison to the increasingly popular GPS-enabled watches, handheld GPS devices offer a better overview of the terrain as they can show detailed maps … Continue reading →

I can hardly believe it, but Christmas is just over a month away! That means it’s time to start thinking about what to get your friends and loved ones, especially if you’re going to be doing any online shopping. It’s always an option to do holiday shopping last minute, but that also means you might not get your package on time. I’ll admit that I won’t be doing any Christmas shopping for another couple of weeks, but now is the perfect time to start thinking about what to get the special people in your life so that you don’t end … Continue reading →

Not too long ago, this rugged adventurer decided to endorse his own line of survival products. He was approached by several knife companies, and Bear decided to go with Gerber Knives. What to look for in a survival knife

Twin On Tour Posted on September 10, 2020 by kayleneMarch 14, 2023

If you’re roughing it outdoors, you’re probably a tough person, and you’ll need a tough knife to keep with you. Here are some traits to consider when you’re searching for that knife that’s as tough as you are. Full Tang Because your survival knife must be versatile, it also needs to be durable. Holster Review: Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0

Twin On Tour Posted on August 28, 2020 by kayleneAugust 28, 2020

This is my review of the Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0 IWB holster. This is their top of the line IWB holster. So, here are my thoughts. Ordering to the door took 9 work days which is commendable as they estimate 12-14. Packaging is nice. There are plenty of video reviews on YouTube about the packaging and the holster so I’ll get into the meat of my review… The holster its self. I messed around with all the different configurations possible with this holster and ended with the slide side all the way up and the grip side all the … Continue reading →

Review: 5.11 Tactical Double Duty Belt

Twin On Tour Posted on August 27, 2020 by kayleneAugust 27, 2020

The 5.11 Tactical Double “Duty” belt is a very nice pistol belt for the price but I’m not sure I’d refer to it as a duty belt. A duty belt is typically bigger and beefier and used to carry equipment easily, in a readily-accessible manner, while leaving the hands free to interact. This is more than just a pistol and mags. This is radio, cuffs, taser, etc… I would not consider this belt a “duty” belt. Description from their website: “With a dual-layer reversible design that offers two different color options, the 1.5” Double Duty TDU® Belt offers exceptional versatility … Continue reading →
